Race to the Coast 2023 Terms of Competition

The aim of the competition is to support smaller Clubs to substantially increase participation in their annual Open Days, and to provide a challenging and exciting new element to Open Day competitions for the individual golfer.  In 2023:

  • 10 clubs have been chosen, forming the 2023 Race to the Coast circuit
  • Race to the Coast Open Day competitions are a single stableford event
  • Players must hold a category of Full Financial Women’s or Junior Membership that allows them to maintain a Golf Australia Handicap at any club affiliated with the SCBDWG District. The category of membership must be Full Membership with no restrictions.
  • Entrants will accumulate points each time they compete in a Race to the Coast Open Day event.  Points will be awarded to all participants and will be standard across all players (that is, not awarded to Divisional Winners).  A points table will be published on the SCBDWG website, to be updated after each event.

Eligibility - to be eligible to win the Race to the Coast, players must compete in at least 2 events in each of the three designated regions:  that is, 2 games in the South, 2 in the North and 2 in the West.

Play-off for winner of Race to the Coast

At the end of the season, qualifiers for the play-off will be identified by aggregating their best 6 scores.  The top 50 qualifiers (plus ties if applicable) will be eligible to compete in the Race to the Coast play-off to be held at Mt Coolum Golf Club on Friday 27 October 2023.
