About

The Sunshine Coast Burnett & District Women's Golf (SCB&DWG) is an incorporated, not-for-profit association within the collection of 7 Districts representing women across the state, all of which are under the administrative umbrella of Golf Australia.  Our primary function is to promote the game of golf throughout the region and to provide opportunities for women golfers to enjoy friendly competition.

This district covers a large geographical area, stretching from Bribie Island in the south, to Tin Can Bay in the north, and Kingaroy and Proston in the west. 29 clubs operate in the district with collectively over 2,400 women and junior members.

Golf clubs in our district are entitled to become members of our association and thus gain affiliation with Golf Australia. Members of affiliated clubs enjoy the benefits of the programs, funding and services available from Golf Australia, including GolfLink services.  Our district Committee, made up of delegates from affiliated clubs, is responsible for the management and administration of the association's affairs and funds. Judy Patterson, a member of Noosa Golf Club, is the 2022- 23 President.

Tournaments are held across this geographically dispersed region including the District Championships which are organised by the District Committee.  The Committee also runs the Pennant competition in the north coast area.  Golf in the South Burnett is administered by a combined men’s and women’s committee titled the South Burnett Amalgamated Golf Zone (SBAGZ). The South Burnett manages their regional pennant and tournament schedule.
