2024 Wrap-up
One hundred and Fifty players took part in last week's TEAM event hosted by Headland Golf Club. Festivities began on Sunday night with Registration, drinks & nibbles, and would have continued much longer but for the fact that most of us were tee-ing off at 7am the next day!
Day one - 4BBB in the morning and Single Stroke in the afternoon. We were very lucky with the weather, it was a day of glorious sunshine and some fantastic scores. The course was presented extremely well, we had a lot of positive feedback!
Day two - Foursomes in the morning and 4-person Ambrose in the afternoon. Once again, we were very lucky that the rain stayed away! The points system used throughout the competition meant that reward was given for both Nett and Gross scores, so the lead kept changing right to the last event - see the detailed scores below! Local knowledge proved to be useful as the top-3 team spots were won by Headland Teams - top spot went to Headland Bandits, followed by Thunderbirds and Headland's Awesome Foursome. Prizes were given out during a celebratory party at Headland, with Cheese & nibble platters to go with the end-of-game drinks.
